Duties include development of a central (remote) PFC Team; direct leadership of both the central team and practice-based PFC Teams; creating and implementing new work processes to include policies, procedures, performance metrics, and streamlined workflows; running daily and weekly reports, performing team audits, and providing ongoing training of the team.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for reporting findings to executive leadership.  </span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities: </span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and implement a standard solution for remote Financial Counseling, including, defining roles and responsibilities, writing job descriptions, creating Policies and Procedures. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop a performance standard for all PFCs and establish a QA program to ensure compliance with the standard.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee multiple teams providing financial counseling services.  This includes both the Central PFC Team and practice-based teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Conduct staffing analysis and recommendations to internal and practice leadership to help manage operational efficiencies and cost.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop performance metrics for all Financial Counselors, including setting goals and goal achievement measurements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Assess workflow and develop strategies to increase team productivity and efficiency.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Review monthly benchmarks for staff and prepare reports for executive audiences.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with local teams and to ensure adequate coverage for Financial Counseling and utilize the Central PFC Team as needed to cover employee absences and holidays.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manage relationships with vendors and hold them accountable for delivering standard services across all member practices. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Review & approve employee time for semi-monthly payroll; monitor overtime utilization.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform administrative functions such as interviews, job performance, quarterly performance reviews and disciplinary actions with appropriate approvals as required.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Review and update practice-level policies and procedures, as needed.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure best practice revenue cycle solutions are consistently maintained.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Travel to member practices observing current processes and recommend improvements to optimize local operations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Additional responsibilities may be assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Required Qualifications:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare related experience required.</span></p></li><li><p><span>7-10 years experience in revenue cycle operations, patient financial counseling, or healthcare financial services.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting; preferably with Oncology/Hematology knowledge.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated experience managing or developing centralized teams (remote or hybrid models strongly preferred)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience implementing systems and processes that support organizational growth while maintaining quality and compliance standards.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Essential Competencies:</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Attendance is an essential job function</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of insurance coverage guidelines, authorization workflows and Financial Counseling operations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to apply good judgment</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to meet deadlines</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of clinic office procedures, medical practice and medical terminology</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies and procedures</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to successfully organize, delegate, and supervise</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to recognize, evaluate and solve problems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to successfully plan, implement and manage multiple projects simultaneously</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong knowledge of Windows-based software applications.
