Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, co-workers, and property within the IKEA store. Conduct regular risk assessments and proactively identify potential safety hazards and security threats. Implement and enforce loss prevention policies and procedures to prevent theft and fraud. Respond to and investigate any safety or security incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences. Collaborate with store management and other departments to develop and implement safety and security strategies. Train and educate co-workers on safety and loss prevention protocols and procedures. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security standards. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention and safety. Maintain accurate records and reports of safety and security incidents, investigations, and training. Communicate effectively with store management, co-workers, and external partners on safety and security matters. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information. Continuously evaluate and improve safety and security protocols to ensure the highest level of protection for the store and its occupants. Stay alert and vigilant while on duty, immediately reporting any unusual activities or behaviors. Assist in emergency response situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, natural disasters, and fire alarms.
