Job Requirement:

•Fully Remote setup but candidate must be physically based in Metro Manila Cavite, Laguna, Rizal or Bulacan

•Deep expertise in EU and North American regulatory frameworks

•Product categories: Hardline consumer goods (electrical appliances, furniture, toys, food-contact materials)

As a member of China Compliance Operation team, we are responsible for the classification of ASINs in our catalog that can be safely stored in the Fulfilment Center’s and shipped to customer while safely meeting all local laws and regulations. We also prevent the sale of items that either Amazon chooses not to sell or are prohibited by law or regulations. In the global trade and direct import areas we are accountable for the import tariff classification and ensure imported products have had proper testing for safety and operability.

The team that you will work is responsible to ensure that the Amazon Private Brand products have been tested in certified laboratories and that you will comply with the legal requirements of target selling market place, and conduct post-launch audit of Private Brand Products following product compliance requirement.

Key job responsibilities

• Expert in compliance with European and American regulations for Electrical products, Hardline (especially furniture), and children's products.

• Analyze emerging regulatory requirements: Assess the business impact of new regulations from European, North American, MENA, and AU markets, evaluating product category applicability and technical compliance requirements.

• Execute regulatory implementation: Deploy new regulations and policies following established change management logic and operational protocols.

• Handling compliance crisis or escalations

• Ensure that good ideas are consistently implemented across all tasks to improve efficiency and standardize process workflows to meet KPI goals

• Understand the business and identify potential areas of improvement from a technical perspective or regulatory risk.

• Facilitate communication between vendors and stakeholders to provide support timely and correctly.

• Maintain vendor management process documentation and training.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of laboratory experience or other retail compliance experience. Familiarity with product safety and compliance regulations, as well as European and North American product compliance regulations, such as EMC, LVD, and GPSR, as well as chemical requirements, such as REACH, POP, RoHS, CPSIA, and California Proposition 65.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong multi-tasking ability and experience with meeting multiple deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity

  • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) with vendor, client, or customer-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in retail, operations, and/or business management with a proven history of delivering results

  • Familiar with sustainability related certification, like ISO14001, GRC, ISCC, RSPO, FSC or compliance regulatory and testing protocols of consumable products (including like detergent, cosmetic, paper, biocide)
