This role works with Account Directors, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other Worldwide Clinical Trials personnel.</p><p></p><p><b>Your responsibilities</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Develop robust proposals, leading the writing, coordination, and presentation of responses in Word, PowerPoint, and other systems or formats</p></li><li><p>Work with Account Directors and SMEs to effectively manage the proposal development process</p></li><li><p>Actively participate in project strategy discussions, ensuring product and service offerings are clearly articulated in proposals</p></li><li><p>Proofread, edit, rewrite, and revise documents to ensure readability, consistency, accuracy, and relevance</p></li><li><p>Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviews, approvals, and signatures</p></li><li><p>Act as a focal point to collect information from various sources</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with SMEs to gather information and customize content</p></li><li><p>Collate proposal content independently as much as possible from team discussions and internal sources such as libraries, requesting direct content from SMEs only when primary sources are not available</p></li><li><p>Respond to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner</p></li><li><p>Apply strategic and customized solutions to proposal development</p></li><li><p>Take increased responsibility for owning, driving, and supporting proposal writing resource and process improvement initiatives, collaborating with junior proposal writers, proposal writing managers, and SMEs</p></li><li><p>Provide a high level of mentorship to junior proposal writers, including onboarding, training, and ongoing learning and development</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.</p><p></p><p><b>What you will bring to the role</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Robust writing, project management, and time management skills to complete proposals on time and with high quality</p></li><li><p>Ability to mentor junior proposal writers in writing, project management, and industry knowledge to complete proposals on time and with high quality, and to keep the content library updated and accurate</p></li><li><p>Proven leadership skills in a matrixed environment and proven ability to effectively influence executive and C-suite team members regarding their contributions to client deliverables</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive understanding of the proposal development process, the overall business organization, functional areas, and commercial strategy</p></li><li><p>Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills; strong attention to detail; and prioritization and time management skills</p></li><li><p>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and dynamic environment</p></li><li><p>Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently</p></li><li><p>Excellent self-motivation</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your experience</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Excellent customer relationship management skills and strong commercial acumen</p></li><li><p>Strong organizational agility, negotiation skills, and demonstrated drive for results</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to build peer relationships and effective teams with demonstrated global and cultural awareness</p></li><li><p>Minimum five years of experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical business development or operational environment, or as a Proposal Manager – Writing</p></li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree: master’s or PhD preferred (preferred fields include Life Sciences, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing)</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of the CRO and pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of sales support activities, and a strong understanding of study design, project management, and operational requirements for successful study implementation</p></li><li><p>Ability to analyze and evaluate processes and resources</p></li><li><p>Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision</p></li><li><p>Candidates must reside in Latin America and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience.
