The SNOC Engineer II (Security) works across security, network, systems, and cloud domains to ensure operational stability and compliance.</p> <p><strong>Your Mission as a SNOC Engineer II</strong></p> <ul> <li>Detect and respond to security threats across network, systems, and cloud environments.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.</li> <li>Act as an escalation point for unresolved alerts/issues.</li> <li>Mentor SNOC Engineer I team members and assist with technical development.</li> <li>Create and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base documentation.</li> <li>Collaborate on projects to integrate new technologies and improve reliability.</li> <li>Support compliance initiatives (CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Security Operations Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Investigates and responds to complex security alerts (lateral movement, privilege misuse).</li> <li> Performs root cause analysis and recommends remediation actions.</li> <li> Maintains and tunes SIEM and EDR detections to improve accuracy.</li> <li>Supports proactive security initiatives (threat hunting, detection engineering).</li> <li>Mentors Engineer I in effective triage and investigative techniques.</li> <li>Collaborates with clients and internal teams on remediation plans.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring to the Team</strong></p> <p><strong>Education & Certifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li> <li>Preferred certifications:</li> <ul> <li>CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network+</li> <li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)</li> <li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate</li> <li>ITIL Foundations</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Experience & Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years in SOC, NOC, IT support, or infrastructure operations.</li> <li>Ability to combine cybersecurity expertise with exceptional customer‑centric communication and engagement.</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills across security, network, systems, and cloud domains.</li> <li>Familiarity with SIEM platforms, monitoring tools, and alert management systems.</li> <li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why This Role Rocks</strong></p> <p>As a <strong>SNOC Engineer II</strong>, you won’t just resolve incidents, you’ll be a trusted advisor, a mentor, and a key player in strengthening security and operational resilience.
